Former Research Assistant at CEPS
Dr. David Belis is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Leuven International and European Studies (LINES), Faculty of Social Sciences, KU Leuven. He holds MA degrees in China Studies and Comparative and International Politics and formerly worked at the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies (GGS) and at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels. He has previously co-organized informal workshops with UNFCCC carbon market negotiators in Geneva and Bonn. At present, he regularly conducts research activities at Tsinghua University in Beijing. His research focuses on social theory and climate politics, on climate diplomacy and climate and energy policy-making in China, the EU and the US, and on carbon markets and climate finance. He has published in journals such as Climate Policy, International Environmental Agreements, Environment and Planning, Carbon & Climate Law Review, and Global Environmental Change.
